Philosophy
Team Objective
The mission of the SSC Diamonds Heat is not only to develop fundamental soccer skills and tactics, but to teach the girls teamwork, commitment, dedication, and love for the game of soccer. Practices are structured around the development of ball handling skills and tactical knowledge in a “fun” yet challenging environment.
Team Overview
The SSC Diamonds Heat was formed in the fall of 2007 and began play in the KC Metro League U9 “B” Division The Fall of 2009 the Heat team expanded to 16 players combining for two teams, the Heat White and Heat Red. Both teams played in the Heartland Premiership League (U-11) and finished with wining records. A combined Heat team finished the fall season as champions of both the Heritage Invitational and The Toyota Midwest All Girls Tournaments. The Heat Red team finished as finalists in the Missouri Mule Tournament. The teams both played the Winter II indoor sessions at Sports City. The Heat White team played up in the U-12 division and the Hear Red in U-11. In the spring of 2010 both teams again played in the Heartland Premiership League and were challenged with a higher level of competition. The Heat Red team ended the season by winning the Challenger Cup Tournament U-11 division and The Heat White team were finalists in the Salsa Soccer Tournament U-11 Red Chili division.
